OTTO - breaking it down into 2 briefs

Because OTTO has so much that we want to do with it, we've decided to split it into two focussed briefs that have specific aims and outcomes.

The first brief is is about designing for events and promotion with the aim of building the social following and acquiring new contacts.

The brief will be about 2 separate events that will promote the label. The first is going to a collaborative event where we will invite other independent and creative clothing labels to exhibit and sell their work with us at a venue. The event will be in our name but it will offer us the chance to promote and sell our work at the same time as giving the other labels the opportunity. The aim is to build a friendship amongst the labels and to share with each other. The second event is going to be a more exclusive launch party event that we will be working on with two students from Creative Advertising. This event is less about selling clothes and more about get interest from people outside of college and in the industry.

The second brief is about packaging and a developing a 2nd range of clothes and products with the sim of experimenting and developing new and innovative printed products that we can launch as a spring-summer range. The range wont be too big but we've listed the possible products that we can work with. We've decided to aim for about 10 new designs each which we will then narrow down to just 8 which we will develop together. The packaging is going to be a creative challenge and will require some research before we begin designing.
