I've sat down and had a chat with Shaun and gone over his work and the direction he's heading in with it. I wanted to see his work so I could get the tone of in and pick out anything that may inform my design choices and approach.
A few key things to focus on:
- menswear/mens fashion
- simplicity and subtlety
- lifestyle
- ethos, ideology, manifesto
- bold
- muted pastil colours - soft accent of colours
I asked Shaun what he was expecting from me and I suggested a few things:
- logo
- business cards
- look book
- font
- colour choice
- stock choice
- process choice
- swing tickets
- flyers
- hangers
This is a good stating point but I'd really like to push for some more innovative ideas for deliverables. These are the standard and necessary outcomes to begin with.
Shaun has left me with a few names and links to look into for contextual references and research. As of yet I'm free to design but I'd like to gather some more inspiration before I really begin designing.
